Every year "Christmas in Washington" is filmed in Washington DC in a charity event that benefits the Children's National Medical Center bringing numerous celebrities to CNMC. Residents Tom W., Roy T., and Erin P. are pictured below with late night TV talk show host Conan O'Brien in his second annual trip to Children's National Medical Center. Conan joined pop singer Demi Lovato and country singer/former American Idol Scotty Mccreery in greeting patient families and CNMC staff this past weekend. They join a long list of celebrities who have visited the hospital over the last year on separate occasions including:
- Britney Spears
- Justin Bieber
- Selena Gomez
- Victoria Justice
- Michelle Obama (and every first lady since Bess Truman who come to CNMC every December with Santa Claus to read "The Night Before Christmas" to children)
- Ryan Zimmerman and Stephen Strasburg (of the Washington Nationals)
-Several of the Washington Capitals (NHL hockey team) and DC United (MLS Soccer team) players
