The rank list deadline is quickly approaching on February 20! We remember how stressful these last few weeks can be so please feel free to post any CNMC-related questions (or residency questions in general). You can simply click "comment" at the bottom of this post and we will respond within 48 hours. The residents at CNMC wish you the best of luck in the exciting months ahead and we hope you enjoy the remainder of your 4th year of medical school!

What web resources are available to the residents (eg. Up to date, etc)?
ReplyDeleteGreat question. Residents at CNMC have three main "go to" websites that are the springboard to basically all the resources that you will need.
ReplyDelete1. The online community has a list of all the rotations of residency, and all the information, contacts, resources you need to thrive during them. They also have a considerable number of powerpoints and journal articles about the most high yield topics from each rotation.
2. MedHub is our organizational web site where residents can log all duty hours, procedures, and keep a running list of all accomplishments (presentations, awards, etc) throughout residency which can automatically populate into a CV.
3. Finally the CNMC intranet has a section just for the residency program where you can find links to the CNMC paid for "Up to Date," "Dynamed,", and many other resources including numerous e-Journals available through the George Washington University library.
We have great IT support at CNMC and the websites are frequently updated to provide the most up to date resources.
For the intranet resources, such as Up To Date and Dynamed, are those accessible remotely as well?
ReplyDeleteAll the intranet resources listed in my previous post (Up to Date, Dynamed, etc.) are available remotely through our secure VPN network. Residents are actually provided a laptop for use during residency that you can take home which has all the remote access software pre-loaded.
